Green Scan is a project that aims to reward individuals who purchase eco-friendly products. Simply use the in-app barcode scanner, and collect points that you can use to plant real-life trees.
The point system is based on 3 qualities: 1 point for infinitely recyclable or biodegradable packaging; 1 point for low carbon footprint products; and 1 point for environmentally conscious companies. Green scan is not meant to motivate individuals to only buy the greenest products, but rather, to avoid the most environmentally harmful ones. Small efforts can make big differences.
